One Day Photography Workshop

One day photography workshop was organised by Department of Computer Sciences in collaboration with Photography Club, HATIM on 11th March, 2023 (Sat) at HATIM Campus.
The resource person for this workshop is Henry de Ccorn, professional photographer from Lunglei. The workshop is divided into two sessions. The first session took place in HATIM Auditorium where the resource person talks about basics of photography, light theory, camera handling, photography as a hobby and the job opportunities in photography.
The students (attendees) are divided into three groups in the second session where they are given hands-on training. Each group are given training on indoor portrait photography and outdoor landscape photography. The students are given time to go around the campus with professional photography gear to express their idea and creativity. The photos taken by each group are then analysed and studied together. Mistakes and points of improvements are shared by the resource person.
The main aim of the workshop is to provide hands-on photography as well as training on photo and graphics editing softwares. The participants are also given career and job opportunities in this field. The workshop was attended by 41 participants. It was a fruitful and beneficial programme.
